Sabih Khan has been named the new COO of Apple, replacing Jeff Williams. Khan, currently Apple’s senior VP of Operations.

Sabih Khan is set to replace Jeff Williams as Apple’s COO.
Apple New COO: Sabih Khan has been named as new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Apple. He will replace the incumbent COO Jeff Williams. Khan is working as Apple’s senior vice president of Operations, reporting to COO Jeff Williams.
Khan oversees Apple’s global supply chain, ensuring product quality and managing planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and product fulfillment. Sabih also leads Apple’s supplier responsibility programs, which protect and educate workers at production facilities worldwide.
“Sabih is a brilliant strategist who has been one of the central architects of Apple’s supply chain,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.
“While overseeing Apple’s supply chain, he has helped pioneer new technologies in advanced manufacturing, overseen the expansion of Apple’s manufacturing footprint in the United States, and helped ensure that Apple can be nimble in response to global challenges. He has advanced our ambitious efforts in environmental sustainability, helping reduce Apple’s carbon footprint by more than 60 percent. Above all, Sabih leads with his heart and his values, and I know he will make an exceptional chief operating officer.”
Who Is Sabih Khan?
Sabih Khan’s origin root goes back to Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh where he was born in 1966.
Since joining Apple in 1995, Sabih has played a vital role in bringing each of Apple’s innovative products to market. Before Apple, Sabih worked as an applications development engineer and key account technical leader at GE Plastics. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI).
Who Is Jeff Williams And What Role Did He Play For Apple?
Jeff played a key role in Apple’s entry into the mobile phone market with the launch of iPhone, and since 2010 has led worldwide operations for all products. He also led the engineering development of Apple Watch. Jeff joined Apple in 1998 as head of Worldwide Procurement.
Prior to Apple, Jeff worked for the IBM Corporation from 1985 to 1998 in a number of operations and engineering roles. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA from Duke University.
